From the StartUp Health @ ViVE 2023 experience in Nashville. In this panel discussion on the importance of mental health in healthcare, panelists discuss what their companies are doing to combat the mental health crisis in the world today. 

Speaking on the panel are Jade Kearney, CEO and Co-founder of She Matters, which is on a mission to improve maternal health outcomes for Black mothers; Raj Amin, CEO and Co-founder of Arcade Therapeutics, which is on a mission to create game-based digital therapeutics for mental health, integrated with provider workflows; Lauren Mills, Vice President of Growth for Valera Health, which is on a mission to give 100 million Americans access to high-quality mental healthcare, particularly those with severe mental illness and underserved communities; and Anupam Khandelwal, CEO and Co-founder of SageSurfer, which is on a mission to improve global behavioral health by transforming insight into action so that clients engage in treatment and providers deliver better clinical outcomes at the click of a button. 

All of these Health Transformers are approaching mental health in unique ways, leaning on lived experiences and dynamic approaches in order to achieve success. The panel discusses a wide variety of topics, including the rise of digital therapeutics, prioritizing equitable access for populations who don't always have mental healthcare access, cultural competency, the Black maternal mortality crisis in the United States, social determinants of health, and more.
