During this session, CMS presented a brief overview of Medicare diabetes prevention and treatment services, and conditions of coverage. Also discussed are the low rates of beneficiary use of these services. The purpose of the listening session is to gain input on how accessibility and use of effective Medicare diabetes prevention and treatment programs and services can be improved among AI/ANs at risk for, and with type 2 diabetes (the initial focus was on Medicare enrollees).
