"... in 2016, ... ACOs in one-sided models saved an aggregate of $541 million vs. their benchmarks, but CMS paid out more than that—$613 million—in shared savings. In two-sided models, CMS fared better: ACOs saved $220 million vs. their benchmarks, and CMS only paid out $153 million in net shared savings."
