Healthcare organizations, including traditional ACOs, have expressed great interest in CMMI’s most recent payment model, but several unanswered questions remain as the first application deadlines loom. Fortunately, NAACOS is working through its Direct Contracting Taskforce to address these questions and advocate for changes to make the model more attractive. Catalyst Health Network and UnitedHealthcare's ACO has led to a significant increase in preventive screenings in North Texas. Compared to the previous year, breast cancer screenings increased almost 56%, colorectal cancer screenings increased 52%, and cervical cancer screenings increased 42%.
