The ABCs of MIPS - MIPS vs. Shared Savings ACO

MIPS starts January 2017, which means activities during 2016 are critical to being best prepared. Starting 2017, Medicare Part B providers will either be subject to MIPS value-based payment adjustments or be exempt from MIPS by joining an alternative payment model such as the Shared Savings ACO program. We examine the relative pros and cons in advance of the May 31, 2016 CMS deadline for submitting ACO notices of intent to apply.
