David A. Spahlinger, MD: Clinical Integration: The Way of the Future

While David A. Spahlinger, MD, was the first Medical Director for University of Michigan’s Faculty Group Practice, their Physician Group Practice demo became the prototype for the Accountable Care Organization section of the Affordable Care Act. Dr. Spahlinger explains how their Faculty Group Practice improved patient satisfaction from 86% to 92%, patient access, improved their margins by $54 million and saved $47 million of Medicare dollars.
