The number of hospitals that enabled inpatient access to health information using apps increased by more than 50% between 2018 and 2019. The number of hospitals that enabled viewing clinical notes increased by more than 30%. 75% of hospitals enabled inpatients to view, download and transmit health information using a portal in 2019 – that figure has remained unchanged since 2016.
