“As for hospitals’ IRS status being threatened by a for-profit, Medicare shared savings arrangement, I will leave that to the lawyers; however, I cannot see how a not-for-profit hospital would see the ACO as a money-making operation when most—if not all the dollars—flow back to the providers to improve care and outcomes measures for patients.
