  ACO participation in 2022: 6 takeaways from AMA survey

1
. Share of physicians who said that their practice belonged to at least one type of ACO: 57.8%
2. Share of doctors in hospital-owned practices who took part in a Medicare ACO: 48.6%
3. Share of physicians in private practices who took part in a Medicare ACO: 29.4%
4. Overall participation in Medicare ACOs: 38.1% (up from 36.7% in 2020)
5. Participation in Medicaid ACOs: 30% (up from 29.5% in 2020)
6. Participation in commercial ACOs: 45.1% (up from 42.7% in 2020)
