"AI is a prime target for bad actors because people are used to relying
on AI without understanding how it gets to its answers, which makes it
easier for people with bad intentions to fly below the radar. So, how do
you secure these systems, especially with the need for interoperable and
transportable patient data? We need to let the good guys in and keep the
bad guys out." - David Vidal, Vice Chair, SaMD Regulatory | Center for Digital Health - Data & Analytics at Mayo Clinic |

A new report published by Verato and Sage Growth Partners found that 72%
of respondents are “concerned” or “extremely concerned” that siloed,
inaccurate patient data negatively impacts care quality and the bottom
line. Further, only 14% saying that they are “extremely satisfied” with
the level of accuracy they can achieve with patient identity data. This
low satisfaction and confidence in the accuracy of patient data
compelled the majority of executives (60%) to consider patient identity
to be valuable to every function and initiative within the organization. Source: Care Analytics News, Volume 15 Number 4, February 2022, Industry News: "Survey: Patient Identity Resolution a Top Imperative to Improve Siloed, Inaccurate Patient Data." |
