  The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS) fielded a survey of its membership’s Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). Almost 30% said they’d faced a system or electronic health record (EHR) outage in the last year, 15% of respondents reported a patient safety incident tied to a cyber event, and 10% experienced the need to divert patients to another care setting.
