Factoid
According to The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives’ annual Most Wired report, a “comprehensive” security program -- defined as adoption of all components of a system -- was reported to be in place at 30% of healthcare organizations surveyed; at 45% with over 1,000 beds; at 12% with less than 200 beds; and at 35% of urban/integrated organizations. Half of organizations with comprehensive programs, and 70% of those without them, 'don’t have measures in place for medical device security.'
