Factoid
  Researchers from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus developed an algorithm that evaluates EHR data to predict the likelihood of septic shock in the emergency department. Septic shock occurred in 11.4% of the 2,464 pediatric visits researchers analyzed. The predictive analytics model was able to predict 90% of the septic shock cases.
