"I can't resist the opportunity to help improve Health Support Groups and the quality of health information across Facebook. Needless to say, there are tremendous challenges to address, as well as many opportunities for meaningful impact. I will tap into the power of community and collaboration to do my best."

There were an estimated 2,800 medical clinics in retail space in the U.S. in 2017, compared to just 351 in 2006. That includes a 47% jump in the last 3 years. In 2018, 73% of healthcare construction was happening off of hospital campuses, compared with just 56% in 2014. A 2016 Health Affairs study found that 58% of retail clinic visits for low-acuity conditions represented new utilization - retail clinic use was associated with a modest increase in spending of $14 per person per year.
