contextualize product differentiations that are digestible for a
consumer. Customers want to work with companies that believe what they
believe. They need to know your organization shares the same values and
holds the same beliefs. The particular product you sell is secondary.
Focus must be on why consumers are buying the product, not what product
they are buying. Kaiser Permanente, Humana and Cigna get it, which is
the primary reason they are market leaders. Public and private Exchanges
need to answer the question, ‘Who are you?’ and ‘What do you stand for?’
Once they do this effectively, healthcare Exchanges will not need to
