The average ACA exchange premium increased by 28% between 2014 and 2017. The average silver plan premium rose from $434 in 2014 to $554 in 2017. That’s minor compared to what platinum plan members are seeing. Platinum average plan premiums skyrocketed from $555 in 2014 to $892 in 2017.
