Quote
"In response to the HITECH Act of 2009, we saw an initial influx and scaling up of the more basic data capture and sharing capabilities within the electronic health record (e.g., HIMSS Analytics stages 3 and 4). While the scramble to obtain Meaningful Use dollars has brought many new technology players to the healthcare market, it remains to be seen which ones (if any) will be successful in helping users improve clinical and population health outcomes, increase efficiency and empower patients and their families."

-Bertina Yen, M.D., MPH, Executive VP, Product Group, Zynx Health

Factoid
"Currently 21 states and the District of Columbia (Arizona and Colorado have enacted partial parity laws) have telemedicine parity laws for private insurance. On the federal side, the House Energy and Commerce Committee released a draft bill on Jan. 12, 2015, that would expand Medicare reimbursement for telehealth services."
