Medstar Health: Majority of Women Over 40 Miss Yearly Mammograms

1. 60% of women aged 40 and over are not having yearly mammograms to screen for breast cancer
2. 21% of women aged 40 and over have never had a mammogram
3. 18% of women who skip their mammograms say they don't have a family history of breast cancer
4. Only 36% of respondents identified dense breasts as a risk factor for breast cancer
5. 30% of women aged 18 and over do not visit a gynecologist
