Since ACOs are population-based, there should be significant predictive modeling efforts in every one of them, to get off the ground and then for the long term. In addition, the rapid maturity of Health Information Exchanges expected in 2013 due to EHR Meaningful Use Stage 2, to be followed by even more data sharing in Stage 3, will also require serious predictive modeling.” Lawrence S. 	A 2012 survey by the eHealth Initiative (EHI) and the College for Health Information Management Executives (CHIME) revealed that only 23.6 percent of respondents reported use of predictive modeling, while 58.3 percent said that they focused resources on retrospective analysis.
