"One of the struggles around analytics and reporting in many organizations is getting to ‘one version of the truth.’ Often, dispersing analytics throughout a company leads to differing stories. Typically, the most effective way to produce actionable, consistent analytics that permeate an organization is to centralize the function. A well-organized analytics division can become a profit center, through enablement of optimized, analytics-driven operational units and data-oriented product development. This centralization of the production of analytics should not be confused, however, with analytical tools being used throughout the organization. It should become every businessperson’s responsibility to leverage tools produced through this centralized analytics unit to the fullest to drive revenue for the organization overall.” Bill Fox JD MA, Senior Vice President of Payer Strategy, Emdeon
