"Capture and use of physician
EHR data for analytics have been driven by many factors. Some of
the drivers include (a) type of practice -- individual v
group, (b) type of EHR and (c) participation in incentive
programs. Revenue pressures have promoted capture and use of
physician EHR data for analytics significantly for group
practices with established EHRs. Individual/solo practitioners
have made significant progress with the adoption of EHRs, but
data capture and its use for analytics have been less than
optimal."
