Reviewing the results
of the Advisory Board Research Annual Health Care CEO Survey, cost
control has eclipsed revenue growth as the most urgent strategic
priority. In the 2017 survey, consumer-driven growth topics topped the
list; this year, top-line growth has been clearly overtaken by a renewed
focus on the bottom line. 70% of CEOs gave preparing for sustainable
cost control an A, while the survey’s top performer in previous years
scored between 50% and 55%.
